Finspot

A map-first mobile app for anglers to share fishing spots. Production web: finspot.finluth.com. API: api.finspot.finluth.com.

What it does

  • Browse fishing spots on a full-screen map (no login required)
  • Search and filter by water type, access, distance, and recency
  • See wind, waves, and a spring/neap tide hint on a spot
  • Check in with “still good?” so other anglers know if it’s fishing
  • Access notes and a regulations disclaimer on every pin
  • Save favourites to come back later (works offline on the device)
  • Log in to add a spot with a photo, tags, and GPS from the photo or your device
  • Edit or delete spots you shared
  • Open directions in your maps app
